East Coast Swing-Part III

June 20, 2011 By Living Solutions Interior Design

Last Leg…Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA

Just a quick post on the last leg of our east coast trip. After Annapolis, MD, we drove to Charlotte, North Carolina. We had never been there and after a long day of driving and hungry kiddos (and parents) we didn’t get to see much of the city. We were, though, very impressed with the sheer height of the buildings in Charlotte. HUGE! We did stay at a very nice boutique hotel, The Dunhill…Highly recommend it! And their restaurant had food from local farms-always a plus. Everything just tastes so fresh when it’s local, doesn’t it?

After Charlotte, we made our last drive to Atlanta, GA.  Our final destination and the whole catalyst of the trip: A family wedding to celebrate in Atlanta. Great restaurants, beautiful architecture and fabulous company :) We had a wonderful time visiting with all our family and celebrating with the bride and groom! And can I just say, EVERYONE at the Atlanta airport, both employees and fellow travelers, were the nicest I’ve ever come across. I cannot begin to do them justice. Everyone was so helpful, considerate and patient with us and all that came along :)

The Atlanta skyline from the reception. Pretty, isn’t it?! I loved seeing all the different architecture throughout our trip. America sure is a beautiful place.
Well, that concludes our East Coast Swing! We had a blast and can’t wait to see everyone again…Hopefully sooner rather than later!
