If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a picture of my baby girl’s room from yesterday. I shared my favorite rug in our home for a fun #hashtag challenge, and I thought I would go ahead and share some more of her room on here today! I want to be sure to remember it how it was for her as we get ready in a few months to transition her into a big girl bed.
Her room started off as our office when we first moved into our house and once we knew she was on her way, we changed things up and made this her nursery. It’s one of my very favorite spaces in our home. It’s a mix of a not too girly, yet feminine room with a deep teal blue as the wall color and splashes of purple and pink!

Her bedding is the Brooklyn line from Pottery Barn Kids, and I loved that it had a little bit of that blue in it. The long furniture piece for her changing table was mine from my childhood bedroom and my dad gave it a fresh coat of paint. I found storage boxes at The Container Store {upper shelf baskets} and Pottery Barn Kids {lower shelf baskets}. This piece gives us a lot of extra storage for blankets, books, hats, extra bedding, etc.
The little brown chair was also from my childhood bedroom and the glass cabinet is a Home Decorators find.
I had a collection of Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit music boxes that my aunt gave me as I was growing up, so they found a home in the glass cabinet and I found some coordinating art to hang on the walls. I originally was going to use pictures from Peter Rabbit books, but I couldn’t bear to tear apart the pages! The little romper was also mine as a baby and my mom sent it to me and I had it framed. I love how it turned out.
And see that cute, fluffy tutu on the wall? That was a shower present from my mom for her first granddaughter and I just love it on the wall. She’s only worn it once, at her 1 year old pictures!!! Am I a bad mama for not letting her wear it more often?!?! It just looks so cute on the wall :)
I haven’t ever hung anything above her crib. I learned my lesson with my first kiddo hanging his cute hand prints on the wall, not even over his crib, but what I thought was far out of reach. Nope. Sideswiped that puppy to the floor. I have had thoughts to hang something above her crib and then never got to it, so maybe when I rearrange her room for her big bed I’ll figure something cute to go above it.
Our fans aren’t the prettiest of accessories, I know, but they are necessary where we live so the fan stays.
I will share the other side of her room soon. I have ordered a few goodies to add a little sparkle!
