A Laundry Room In Progress

December 23, 2014 By Gina Jackson

Sharing a current in-progress client project today. This sweet family moved their laundry room from upstairs in their main living space to down in their basement {which, by the way, is VERY rare here in California, so it is a lot of bonus space for this family} along with a large work space for the husband’s business. The laundry “room” was bare bones. I use quotes around “room” because really it was just an unfinished, open large crawl space!!! {Not really, but it kind of seemed like that!}

I came in at the beginning of the project to help with the overall floor plan, layout and finishes. There are a few more parts of the puzzle to be completed, but it has come so far and is such a wonderful space! Can’t wait to see it all finished soon.

For now, here are some progress shots to check out.

It started like this…

See, I’m really not exaggerating when I say it was a glorified crawl space! Lots of exposed granite.

This was taken a couple of weeks ago when the first day of cabinet installation was complete. The cabinets still needed doors and the space needed a tile floor and a sink.

It’s amazing what a few walls can hide!
