I thought I’d share a favorite Etsy find today. Oh my, how I have a love affair with Etsy. Such a great site, right? There are so many amazingly creative and talented people out there, and Etsy makes it so easy to find one of a kind {or almost one of a kind} pieces for your home to make it uniquely yours.
I love to change out pillows, but they can get so darn expensive. In years past, I have changed them out with the season or just rotated them around, but that can get add up quickly. The last pair of pillows I had for our old sofa was from Pottery Barn and they were so pricey! I remember thinking, Jason would die if he knew that these were each like $79 or so each, plus I had to get a larger insert. So through spring, summer, fall and winter the last few years, these bright and cheery pillows have been adorning our sofa. They don’t go too well with fall and Christmas decor!
They’ll get a good trip to the dry cleaner and moved into the guest room/office to add some color to the bed in there.
So when it came time to add some pillows to the sectional and our master bedroom, I scoured Etsy to see what I could find. I can’t remember how I ended up on her site, but I found Michelle and Festive Home Decor and decided to try her shop out.
The larger Greek key pillows in the back below are from Festive Home Decor which I bought a few months ago.
The fabric is top quality and they are sewn beautifully. They do not have zippers, just an envelope closing in the back that overlaps enough that you never see the insert inside. I wanted 3 pillows for our master bedroom, but her shop said she only had 2. I messaged her and she was able to make a third to match. They are reasonably priced and arrive pretty quickly.
A few good places to find the inserts for the pretty pillow covers: Pottery Barn has a good selection and they are reasonable priced and if you are on the look out, JoAnn’s can sometimes have a good selection and you can always use a coupon for an extra good deal! And remember to buy an insert at least one size bigger than the size of the cover you are ordering to make sure it’s nice and full and there aren’t any empty, floppy corners.
I love purchasing from a vendor that I know is quality and I thought I’d share a few of my favorites! I have some more to share so maybe this will be come a regular thing?!
Any other suggestions of pillow shops on Etsy that you love, other than Festive Home Decor? By the way, she also has a fabric shop, too.
Early next week we are having some of the big furniture pieces moved around the house, so I’ll be busy packing to get ready for the “move.” It’ll be about 90 degrees here this weekend, so we’ll be trying to stay cool, too!
Have a great weekend!
