A while back (before we moved) I wanted to give our bedroom a bit of a custom feel to our all white, ready made bedding. I purchased a pillow at Pottery Barn that had the colors of other accents in our bedroom. I wanted to monogram it, and although I could do it through Pottery Barn, I didn’t love the thread color selection or the size they offered. The letters seemed so tiny! So I purchased the pillow cover and took it to my local embroidery shop to get our monogram embroidered on the front. I picked a thread color I liked that coordinated with the colors in the pillow, as well as a font style that worked well with our letters.
{Can I just say that the letter “J” in so many fonts is so wimpy!}
For approximately an additional $20, I was able to have a custom throw pillow for our bed.
You could do this with just about any ready made pillow. and Add a monogram, a single letter or even a saying, and it’s an easy and fairly inexpensive way to make a pillow one of a kind and unique to you!
Has anyone done this before to a pillow? What about another item that you had custom embroidered? I would love to hear!
