The other day we headed out to the newest San Diego HomeGoods in search of some treasures, and our trip did not disappoint! We were on the look out for a few of our clients, some inspiration holiday vignettes, as well as ourselves!
Here are a few things that caught our eye…
Funky, sculptural pears
Iron screens that add a hint of modernity to more primitive folk art
and don’t you just love those orange zebra print chairs in the background?!
There were so many great lamps to choose from. A couple of them made it into our cart for a ride down a few aisles before we decided we didn’t need them and put them back!
Does any one else do that? Put items in your cart “just in case”? Sometimes just pushing it around the store satisfies the feeling like you’ve “owned” it and it can go back on its’ shelf for the next lucky customer.
I’m pretty sure this little guy above was only $29.99!
Cool lantern-like lamps.
A bright and cheery printed chair to add some color and life to a room.
We took this picture just to remind us of how we each want to have one of these made with all the streets we’ve lived on with our hubbies, both together and apart. This would make a great wedding or anniversary gift, too!
We are both suckers for dishware. Cute, right?!
This guy got really close to almost coming home with us. It rode around the entire hour long shopping trip. But ultimately Jill decided she had something at home that she could use to re-create the look she was going for with this. Sometimes you have to think about what you have at home already that could be re-purposed before adding something new to the mix.
I brought home this mirror that is the perfect fit for our powder room. The previous owners took the old mirror, so I was in desperate need of one! For now it’ll stay this color, but I may paint it when we re-do that room (way, way down the line!)
I had to bring these home, too. They will be perfect for my little guys’ bedroom or bathroom. Haven’t decided yet!
And I’ve been wanting a couple more of these forever. I scored one last time we were on a HomeGoods shopping trip, and I found these larger ones on this trip. I have a baby shower coming up, as well as a 1st birthday party and then the holidays. I know I can use these for decorations!
I can’t believe we didn’t take a picture of Jill’s treasure from the day. She got cute cloth napkins for her dining room that are perfect for both fall and her home’s color scheme!
So all in all it was a successful trip! Has anyone else had successful shopping trips lately?!
