Weeks like this make my new little 2013 organization tool even more valuable. Last week I talked about my new green notebook. I have always been a list maker. It helps unload my cluttered brain! And for years I have had a notebook where I kept all my lists. However, it was just an ongoing list with no rhyme or reason. When I did try to separate my lists or ideas out {say for an upcoming vacation or party or home project} it was always amongst the every day lists of “laundry, dust, call so and so” and it was very hard to locate the information I was looking for. A couple of weeks I was reading one of my favorite blogs, Sunny Side Up, and Erin had written about her notebook that was helping her stay organized. She had purchased one that had subject dividers and separated out the main things she was working on in life right now.
Brilliant! How come I didn’t think of this earlier? So out to Staples I went in search of a notebook with 5 subjects. Before shopping, I had made a quick list of the main categories that I felt I would use most.
The 5 I ended up with were:
1. To Dos
{my more “administrative” to-do list both short term and long term}
5. Work/Blog
{to-dos for LSID-I had a separate notebook for this, but realized it was too many notebooks and I would forget where I put the action item-, blog ideas and improvements}
