It’s been a long week for both Jill and me. Yesterday we were able to get caught up over a fun project: Making the valance for the command center!
It turned out so cute and hopefully I can convince my hubby to help me hang it this weekend. As soon as it’s up, I’ll share the “after” photo and a little tutorial if you are interested in making your own. If you know how to sew {which I don’t, but it’s on my long term “to-do” list. Jill, however, is an excellent sewer!} it is a pretty easy project that took us about 3 hours with lots of gabbing in between!
Our upstairs hallway got updated this week, too. Maybe, if I’m lucky, I can get at least the priming done on the walls before August!
All the wallpaper came down which took me about 2 months; way longer than I anticipated! Then this week the walls were primed with oil based primer {boy does that stuff stink!}, textured, and new casings around the doorways were put up as well as a new, wider chair rail.
I have to prime and paint the walls {the color of which I think I have figured out, but we’ll see if I like it once it’s up}, paint the ceiling, and paint the wainscoting and trim white. Then it’s time to get busy hanging family photos, a big chalk board, and figure out where to put all my hubby’s Navy awards, etc. now that the office is turning into another bedroom.
Jill and I also worked on quite a few client projects this week, so I know we’re both pretty ready for the weekend :).
