So, as you know, I’ve been working on changing our home around a bit in how we are using it. Turns out we’ll be doing a bit more changing and re-arranging come December. I am expecting baby #3! This was quite a surprise, and we’re getting over the initial shock and getting excited!
In terms of design and our house, we weren’t really expecting adding another baby so quickly, so things may have to change a bit. Currently our office is in one of the upstairs bedrooms, and our boys share the other bedroom. We are thinking that we will change the office into a nursery, but that means finding a new home for our office. My hubby needs a closed off space from us during the day because he spends most of his time on the phone in meetings. I typically don’t work unless the boys aren’t home or they are sleeping.
Some options for now: Moving one {or both} of the desks into the guest room; building out one of the closets in the guest room as a little “cloffice” that we can close up easily when we have guests along the lines of this…
{This is a bit above and beyond, especially for Jason. I can just picture him working with butterfly and flower wallpaper! But isn’t it so cute?!}
Or doing a built in in the corner of the guest room like this…

These are options for Jason as he needs the privacy and our guest room is pretty private and secluded. I can possibly use my downstairs secretary desk, as long as I have storage for client folders, source books and space for our personal files, but I’m finding more and more that I need a bit more space to keep LSID running!
I’m hesitant to do a whole lot of work, as things can always change {as in an unexpected pregnancy!} and if it’s another boy, we have room in the boys’ bedroom to have three kids in there and keep a room designated specifically for an office. But we do think we want to have the baby on his or her own for awhile after it moves out of our room just to establish good sleep habits, but we’ll see. I’m always changing my mind! I’ll keep you posted if things end up changing around here!
Have a fabulous weekend! We’re having some friends over for a summer bbq. Hopefully “June Gloom” lets the sun out tomorrow!
