Hope everyone has had a great week! We have a fun, but busy weekend ahead. Feels like as soon as Halloween hits, it’s non-stop through Christmas. At least in our house. We’ve got 3 of our 5 birthdays starting right after Halloween through the beginning of December, Thanksgiving is in the middle of the birthdays, and then we gear up for Christmas and all that goes with it. I love this time of year, and I’m getting better at anticipating all that I have to be ready for, but it’s still exhausting!!!
I’m excited to share some of my Favorite Things coming up for gift ideas-home decor, kids gifts, etc., to get a jump start on holiday shopping. Some of you are probably already all done! I hope to get everything organized and purchased so I’m not going crazy in December. Hope is the key word! We’ll see if I can do it!
But today, I wanted to share a remodel project that kept Living Solutions busy this past summer. We finally finished all the last details on this project about a month ago and I’m so happy with the way it all turned out. There were 3 bathrooms, a kitchen and dining room all updated. I’m going to break up the posts to share each space over the next week, and the dining room and stairwell are up today!
The dining room floor was an old parquet and as you will see next week, this room is adjacent to the kitchen, which had a white tile floor. It was too many different floors going on right in this space, so all the floors were replaced with a tile that looked like a wood plank.
These windows were the only wood cased windows in the home, so we freshened them up with a fresh coat of white paint. To stay within the client’s budget, we decided to keep the existing rail but change the color.
The darker rails pull out the dark in the window glass and give it a more modern look. I love how these wood plank tiles look! All that was changed in this space was the flooring and the rail color. All the furniture and the carpet stayed the same.
Next week: The kitchen and bathrooms!
Have a great weekend!
