I started writing this post Friday morning and in the midst of the morning’s distractions and our new family dynamic, I got sidetracked. And then I heard about the unimaginable tragedy in Connecticut and a post on how I did our upstairs gallery wall just seemed trivial. My heart is very heavy and very sad. And my thoughts and prayers are with all the families whose lives are changed forever.
Over the weekend I just wanted to be home with our family. In our safe little haven. {To be honest, I don’t really want anyone to be away from our little “nest” right now.} To me, that’s always the focus when it comes to our home…to make our home our safe haven away from the crazy life around us. So onward we go, doing our best to help make our homes and the homes of clients a safe, warm, welcoming and inviting place to be.
I’ve been a bit MIA lately due to the fact that our family welcomed a sweet baby girl at the end of November. It’s made writing blog posts a bit more challenging! But I have a lot to write about so hopefully I will be able to find time here and there to keep regularly posting. Jill has done a great job filling in on the blog front as well as helping wrap up some projects that I started before baby girl arrived. We had so much fun a few days before I was out of commission working on a holiday decorating project for one of my favorite clients! And I’m stopping by her house to see the final results this morning.
Later this week I hope to share how our upstairs gallery wall came about and a few pictures of our Christmas decorations this year.
