I have been all over the place around here this week working on little projects here and there and not getting anything finished!!! I’m determined to finish up the command center tonight while I still have the energy and photograph it tomorrow to share with you next week. I’m almost all done painting the upstairs hallway {it has taken WAY TOO LONG!} and hopefully within the next few weeks I can tackle the gallery wall of family photos, hang a giant chalkboard that I’ll talk about more later, and figure out what to do with Jason’s navy/school stuff.
Our new sectional {that I wrote about here} is in and will be delivered next Friday. I’m both super excited and not really ready for all the changes to begin around here. The new dining table is due to be in next week, too, so I’m hoping I can get them on the same delivery truck. We went to Ikea this afternoon to purchase our dining room chairs {you can read about our dining room here}. Well, I should say we got half of the chairs and all of the slipcovers. We’ll need to make one more trip to pick up 4 more chairs that wouldn’t fit in my car today. I’ve been waiting to finally order the coffee table for the living room until the sectional gets here, so in the meantime, I’ve been on the hunt for a new chandelier for the dining room. I’ll share all about that in the coming weeks.
Can you tell I’m in total super nesting/panic mode about some projects around here?!?!
While I was at Lowe’s this week checking out some of the chandeliers I had seen online, I got distracted and found a cute little valance for the boys’ {soon to be kid’s} bathroom.
This is a room we are not planning on touching for quite some time if we can help it, but the valance fell apart a few months ago and I didn’t like it enough to figure out how to put it back together. The previous owner had it pinned all crazy. It kind of needs a valance for the time being to finish off the cellular shade that is on the window.

Just a tad more modern. A little update for about $14. What do you think?
