The weekend has come and gone and nothing has been done to my “Command Center.” I hope to get to some paint touch up this afternoon. So instead of showing you what I have accomplished over the weekend, {meaning nothing to share!} I thought I’d share with you some “After” pictures of the kitchen I shared a sneak peek of a few weeks ago.
Here’s what my client’s kitchen looked like when we first met to start on this project. She wanted a bright, white, neutral kitchen.
Before
She and her husband had decided to paint the existing cabinets, so that cut down on cost quite a bit. She didn’t love the idea of the wine rack in the cabinet and it was way too high to be functional. We also decided on adding some glass to the cabinetry to add some light and interest.
After
My client did not want clear glass, so she opted for a ribbed glass that coordinated well with the new pendant light fixture. Stainless steal appliances and more contemporary hardware modernized this farmhouse kitchen.
After testing out the paint on the cabinet doors, they decided to go ahead and do new doors, so they had a nice smooth finish.
It took a little bit of convincing on my part to add a window treatment to both windows. Once the fabric and style had been picked, it was an obvious choice to make! It evened out uneven windows and hid a workable shade underneath, as well as added softness to the space.
One last look at the before and after…
