So far this has been a record breaking December. The Christmas lights are up, we already have our cards and we got our tree this last week. It’s not that I’m bragging, well maybe a little, it’s just that I feel like I’m living a different life. I’m usually feeling super behind on displaying the holiday cheer. I have to say, it feels good to get it done early. I actually have time to fit in an extra holiday project.
I’ve been holding onto this torn Better Homes and Gardens magazine page…
So, basically when you go get your Christmas tree and the teenage boy, who as probably never held a chain saw, asks you if you want the bottom of the tree trimmed, say “yes” and keep the slice of the stump to create one of these rustic ornaments. The couple who submitted this craft to Better Homes and Gardens won Idea of the Year. They have been saving their stump slices and commemorating their years together.
I love this idea. I am for sure doing this! What holiday projects are you working on this year? We’d love to hear about them. Please post a comment below and tell us about them :)
