I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. I love that it’s usually relaxed with no gift giving pressure, just time to hang out with family, cook and relax. We had a great time hosting my husband’s family this past weekend and enjoyed lots of relaxing, yummy food, good company, and a somewhat competitive game of Monopoly!
Our dinner was pretty casual but I still used our china and crystal.
Even our little guy got his own set up, minus the crystal and the china!
I’m ready to break out our Christmas decorations, go get our tree and start playing Christmas music, but I’m trying to hold off for about another week. This past weekend, with some extra hands around our house to help with our little guys, I almost finished our office closet!
This unfinished closet has been staring me in the face every day as I sit down to think up creative ideas for my clients. And I’m so over it. I’ve been over it for quite some time, but I’ve been working on other projects around the house. So this week, I’m committing to myself to finish this closet, even if it’s just an interim design. I eventually want it to be a beautifully organized storage space, and hopefully it will get there soon. But all I’m going for this week is just to finish the painting and moving in of our office supplies, design catalogs, etc.
So before I break out the festive ornaments and garland and unleash yet another project around here, I’m working on finishing up just this one project to help me feel tad bit more under control.
This week, I challenge you to finish up just one project around your home, big or small, that has been staring you in the face and visually taunting you! You can do it!!! And I’ll be right there with you. Now that I’ve put it out there, I really need to get working! And if all goes according to plan, I should be sharing a completed office closet by the end of next week!
