Yesterday, Jill and I got to work side by side! It’s not every day that we get to work so closely together, but we love it when it does. We were helping a client with a move…where pieces should go, art placement, etc. We had a fun day together, and I think the client was happy to have our help!
Last week I spotted a cute little white dresser at a kid’s consignment shop in my neighborhood.
I kind of dismissed it until I was going through clothes, etc. for the baby and thought I may need a little dresser for the room. Right now, we have this cute piece my dad painted two weeks ago…
In the middle of painting it…it has one long shelf, too.
being used as a changing table and what I thought would be a “dresser”, too. However, when I used it in our dining room, it took quite awhile to find the perfect fitting baskets for storage. I was lucky enough to get these cute canvas bins as a shower gift that I think will work perfectly for diapers, extra wipes, ointments, etc. When I thought more about logistics for clothing, though, I wasn’t sure baskets were the best option. The ones we had for the dining room have lids and are kind of cumbersome to use every day. We will have some Elfa freestanding drawers in the closet, but I think something closer to the changing table would be a bit better.
So I stopped by the shop to check out the dresser with the promise to two little guys that if they were good, we could get a little toy under $2. {Please don’t judge…a little bribery at 5:45pm sometimes is necessary for a 9 month pregnant mama of two boys at dinner time!} The dresser is so cute and the drawers worked really well. It’s a bit low, but I think with a mirror and some art above it with a little lamp will work well. I was sold! So it’s the final addition for now to the room.
The countdown really is on…like 3 more weeks! Still a lot to get done to the baby’s room and actually ensuring she has a car seat to come home in and a bassinet to lay her head, and I’m not sure we’re ready, but we’re getting there!
