So happy it’s the weekend! Tomorrow morning, before the sun comes up, Jill and I are off to search the treasures of the Rose Bowl Flea Market! I went years ago and it was a fun experience, but I didn’t find anything worth bringing home. But now, about 8 years later, I am ready to get my search on again!
On my list to look for:
~ American Flags
~ Any white pitchers
~ Cool, interesting picture frames
~ Artwork
Or really, anything else that tickles my fancy!
I found some great tips on Design Sponge for Flea Market-ing {pretty sure that’s not a term!}.
WHAT TO DO BEFORE YOU HEAD OUT:
- Do a bit of research on Ebay on the pieces you’re looking for before heading out so you have some idea of what things are worth.
- Make a wish list of the items you are looking for before you go.
WHAT TO DO WHILE YOU’RE THERE:
- Arrive Early
- Wear comfy clothes-layer, layer, layer
- Wear sunblock
- Be ready to bargain! Ask “What’s your best price” and round off when negotiating.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Bring cash-with a good amount of small bills
- Bring snacks and water
- Bring a tape measure
- Bring a granny cart, reusable bags or a back pack to carry your loot
- Bring handy wipes
Hopefully we’ll come home with some great finds to share with you! Have you been to any good flea markets?
Have a great weekend!
