Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We had a little get together for the Super Bowl and it was a fun afternoon/evening. I had the best intentions on getting another organizing project done around here, but didn’t get to it. Then I tried to work on it today and we’re having internet/printer problems, so I’m going to work on it during the next few days and hopefully get it completed! I’ll share as soon as it’s finished!
As I mentioned in this post, I am working on finishing up our master bedroom, or at least getting it about 80% completed. I’ve been painting walls and trim, and after we have some roofing issues resolved, I’ll be able to finish off the majority of the work.
Working on this room has had me thinking about bedding. Unfortunately, the bedding update project for this room has been pretty much put on hold for now due to our most recent house mishap, but that hasn’t kept me from dreaming and planning!
This is the first time we’ve had a Cal King bed. Our last bed, a Queen, which is now in our guest bedroom, has a pretty high mattress and needed to have King size bedding to cover the mattress and box spring. Our last comforter and duvet is currently on our Cal King bed and it doesn’t fit the bed. I.CAN’T.STAND.IT!!! It drives me crazy! So I’ve been on the lookout for larger bedding that would fit a Cal King bed properly. I figured it had to be out there. I couldn’t be the only one who’s bedding doesn’t fit their bed properly, especially with King beds.
I discovered they do exist!
I found a few…
I also found an over-sized comforter at Cotton and Downtown that has a Super King/Cal King.
You can also always make custom bedding to fit your bed’s exact measurements and make it one of a kind to fit your color scheme, decor, etc.
So if you have a King size bed that has teeny tiny bedding that looks like it’s in need of a good stretch, oversize bedding is out there! Hopefully once we get everything else {finally} completed in the room I can focus on finishing up the bedding!
