Ideas & Inspiration

Fireplaces

September 27, 2011 By Living Solutions Interior Design

Hope you all had a great weekend! This weekend we finalized our master bedroom fireplace surround and mantle.

This is what it looked like when we bought the house.

 Interesting, right?
I’ve been looking through Pinterest a ton lately, trying to find inspiration for my home, my clients’ homes, and just for pure fun! There are so many amazingly creative ideas out there. While I was browsing all the inspiration, I found a few great fireplaces…Take a look!

I love clean lines of this fireplace and the neutral, yet luxuriousness of this living room.

I adore light filled, bright spaces!  The color, the light, and all the detail in this room-such a great combo. And so comfy looking…like you could just sit down with a glass of lemonade and a good girlfriend and talk the afternoon away!

This is one is from one my favorite blogs. Isn’t it beautiful?

I like that this fireplace is a bit different and even though it seems to be a bit older fireplace, it has been modernized. I also totally love this room’s color scheme, the fabrics and the colors of this room. I was looking at this fireplace for some ideas for our family room fireplace that also includes an indoor barbeque. Yup, that’s right. An indoor bbq. Any ideas?!

Like this fireplace. Love the colors combo of the gray/blue and orange.

Fun and funky and classic as well!

Great use of a stone surround.

The fireplaces are fabulous and so are the rooms, don’t you think?! Can you tell what I like in fireplaces? We are going for a more traditional look, but with clean lines. It will be painted in white lacquer for a bright, fresh, classic look.
I’m excited to have our fireplace completed just in time for it to start getting cold in San Diego.  I’ll be sure to post some “after” pictures once it’s all in!
